Wisconsin!!!

Ok, so here are some pics and details from my trip to Wisconsin:
Sunday: Justin picked me up and gave me my Christmas present which was a NEW DIGITAL CAMERA!!! It's pretty much the nicest camera ever!!! Then we went to the Johnson's for dinner. I LOVED visiting them
Monday: Justin had to go to work so I stayed home with his niece until it was time to get on the bus. Then we played cards with his family and went to FHE. It was SO fun to be there again with everyone!!!!
Tuesday: We took the sister's down to Zone Conference in Madison. While they were in their meetings we went to lunch, shopping, and visited more people from the mission. Then Justin took us out to dinner and we headed home in a terrible snow storm.
Wednesday: We went to pick out a Christmas tree and decorated it. Then we went to the ward talent show. That was hilarious!!!
Thursday: We pretty much stayed in all day. Just played cards and watched movies.
Friday: We went to see Justin's new nephew (2 days old!) and to see Twilight in the Dells. Then Justin took me out to Pedro's for dinner. YUMMY!!!

Saturday: We went to the St. Paul Minnesota temple with Marty Klish, Amy Mann, and Justin's mom. It was really snowy that day... pretty scary drive, but I was cuddled up in the back seat with Justin and Amy.
Sunday: We went to Church and then over to Amy's house for dinner. We sang Christmas songs around the piano and had a blast!

Monday: I few out this day. I did everything I could to convince him to come back with me, but alas, it didn't work. It only took 2 hours longer than planned to fly home...not nearly as bad as lots of other people.

I'm HOME!!!

Ok, so this is just a quick update for all you peeps who love me. I'm now home from Wisconsin....which is bitter-sweet. It was REALLY REALLY hard to leave Justin there and not sneak him on in my luggage (who cares about the extra luggage fees.....he would have fit....maybe) however I am VERY excited to be home for my first Christmas in 2 years!!!!! I'll be posting more later about my trip and providing pictures of course. I love you all! Have a great Christmas!!!

Mourning, but counting my blessings

On Sunday we got a phone call from my Uncle in California that my grandpa (mom's dad) had died. He was sitting in his chair watching TV/sleeping and he made some snoring noises and sounded like he was having a hard time breathing. Lois (his wife) couldn't wake him up and called an ambulance. They tried to revive him, but couldn't. This is my first experience with someone close to me dying, and I think that I'm handling it ok. I feel very blessed to know that he is in the Spirit World now and not suffering from physical pains anymore, but I still miss my grampa. So on Sunday night I offered to drive my mom to Cali on Tuesday (Dec. 9), which meant that I'd have to take my last final on Monday. So we drove to Cali on Tuesday and on Wednesday we got to have a personal viewing of gramps. He is being cremated so he isn't being embalmed for a viewing/burial. Cami will be flying out on Thursday and the memorial service will be on Friday. We'll drive home Saturday and I'll fly out to Wisconsin on Sunday morning. This turned out to be a very busy week, but I feel very blessed to have so many wonderful things to occupy my life. I'll miss you grampa Ferd! I know you're watching over us.

Who's that girl?

So, I was a little bold and DYIED MY HAIR today! I just wanted a change and nobody will let me cut it up to my chin, so I decided to color it. WAHOO!!! So, life had been going great! I just took my first of 4 finals today and got a 96%. GO ME! I have 2 more this week and one next week. ALSO, I have been so blessed in Mary Kay and I have won TONS of prizes!!!! I got a free brush set, a bracelet, charm, handbag and 6 boxes (a tower) filled with prizes! I LOVE Mary Kay! I have a blast and I love to help women love their look and skin! I LOVE MY LIFE! Oh, and only 11 more days till Wisconsin baby!!! WAHOO!!!!

TWILIGHT MIDNIGHT SHOWING!!!!

Oh, man! On Thursday night, I went with a WHOLE GROUP OF PEEPS to see the 12:02 showing of TWILIGHT!!!! It was SO fun! I went with: Keri Burton, Stacy Scholl, Marianne, Mary, Sarah, Ruth, Skyler, Lloyd, Cami, and mommy. I think that was all of us. Man we loved it. Cami helped me pass out samples of Bella Perfume (everyone loved it, so far no orders). The movie took forever to come on, there were like 20 minutes of previews! Then it came on and about 15 minutes in, it just stopped!!!! You can't imagine the furry in that theater as the workers scrambled around to fix the problem. But all was well and it resumed. It was SO good, but I wanted some more kissing.....but I guess I can wait for that in the next movie.... I really liked the movie and I will have to go again real soon. It was a blast!!!!

Hello!

So, maybe this personal blog thing isn't the best idea ever...it just gives me one more thing to do! I keep thinking about what I want to say on here....and then when I have time to do it, I forget it all. My mind is blank most days. I think that I've pretty much checked out of school already. Lots of stuff is due and as the other students talk about it in class...I'm ALWAYS lost! I didn't even know we were supposed to be doing half of this stuff! I swear one day the Hygiene program MIGHT get organized...but then again, it is being run by people....and people aren't perfect. So, mostly I just have to finish out the month with my Mary Kay stuff and do some studying for finals and then I'll be in WISCONSIN BABY!!!! Only 19 more days! I can't believe it's in the teens already! I'm very excited for Gramma Vi to come for Thanksgiving. I love to see my grams. I only wish Justin were coming.....but 19 days isn't as long as 4 months. I'll be patient.......

Just breathe....

Whew! This has been a crazy week already! I've been running around like crazy! I had an AMAZING week last week with Mary Kay! I had some facials and skin care classes and so many people fell in love with the AMAZING product! I just LOVE Mary Kay! I have had a BLAST doing this! This week I have 1 color appointment (which I did today with Holly-the one that recruited me- and it went pretty well), I have a color class Thursday, and a skin care class on Friday. I'm pretty excited but I will have to schedule in time to sleep. Life otherwise is great. I'm so looking forward to a few days off next week to just breathe!

A wonderful day!

Today was wonderful! I started out my day with a surprise phone call from Justin. Then came school (somewhat boring today...) and then I got another surprise phone call from Justin...what a sweetie! Then I got to go to Keri's house! I was SUPER excited to see her and her amazingly beautiful daughter Kauri (she's a doll!!!) Keri and I had SO much fun today! She tried all of my most favorite Mary Kay products and had to have them all (she's so cute). We had TONS of fun and I found out that she'll be coming with all of us to the opening show of TWILIGHT!!!! I just had the best day ever! Oh, and tonight I got to teach piano-which I love. All-in-all, a great day in the life of Char!
